Maintenance Technician
Overview
BECO Asset Management, LLC is currently seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at in Suffolk, VA. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong work ethic and a passion for maintaining high-quality residential communities. - Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
- Complete work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents (unit turns), including painting, repairs, and cleaning.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as part of an on-call rotation (includes nights/weekends—generous call pay provided).
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and condition of the property’s physical assets and grounds.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with the Community Manager and other team members to provide excellent resident service.
- 1+ year of experience in apartment or residential maintenance preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry.
- HVAC certification is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.).
- Available for night and weekend on-call duty.
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to professionalism and customer service.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
